Cocito Barbaresco Riserva Baluchin

Grape Varietal: 100% Nebbiolo

Soil: Calcareous clay and sand

Yield per acre: 1,600 – 2,000 kg/ha
Fermentation: 7 to 8 days in temperature controlled rotofermenters. Malolactic fermentation in oak barrels.
Aging: Aged in medium toasted, small French barrels for 20-22 months. No filtration or clarifying.  
Alcohol content: 14.5% alcohol by volume
Production:  2,400 bottles
Tasting Notes:  Intensely ruby red in color. The bouquet explodes with rose petal, leather, tar, and spice with great complexity and depth. The palate is rich, ripe fruit is elegantly balanced with soft tannins and a silky texture. Dense, concentrated and ripe, yet very approachable, even when young.
